Head of Product Research and Competitive Intelligence
Gayle leads the Product Research and Competitive Intelligence functions at Batesville Casket, a division of Hillenbrand Inc. In this role she is responsible for all primary and secondary product research as well the data mining and analytical marketing functions. In addition Gayle provides leadership for the design and implementation of processes and procedures to ensure efficient knowledge management of both external and internal marketing information.
Gayle also led the Marketing Research Function at FedEx where she was responsible for all primary marketing research corporate initiatives both domestic and international.
Prior to her tenure at FedEx Gayle was the Director of Marketing Information at Roadway Express where she had oversight for Marketing Research, Competitive Intelligence, Database Marketing and Marketing Information Systems.
Gayle has held a variety of other management positions at Sears Holdings, East Ohio Gas, Jersey Central Power and Light Company and AT&T.
She has spoken at a variety of marketing conferences including the International Institute of Research (IIRI), Advertising Research Foundation and the American Marketing Association and has had several articles published in professional publications.
Gayle currently serves on the Advisory Board for the Southern Illinois University School of Marketing Research in Edwardsville.
Gayle received her BA from Ohio Dominican College in Columbus, a MA from Ohio State University where she also did doctoral work. In addition she participated in the Executive Management Program at Case Western University, Weatherhead School of Management.
